Reiki + Reclamation Circle + Dinner, $125 per person

Join us at a private residence in Koreatown (Manhattan) for a special evening to kick off AANHPI Month! This three-hour event includes:

  • A group Reiki healing session with Heather Schultz Gittens of Huh Healing Hub

  • Facilitated circle to share stories from our extraordinary immigrant experiences

  • Release rituals to reclaim our birthrights of dignity, belonging, and joy

  • Nourishing Komerican dinner and merrymaking to end the night!

  • One print copy of Komerican Pie Issue 72: Spring Zine

What is Reiki?
When your chakras (energy centers in your body) are blocked, energy is not able to flow freely throughout your body. Reiki is a palm-healing technique that addresses energetic imbalances in your body, reduces stress and anxiety, and removes emotional blockages.

About Heather Schultz Gittens
Heather is the Founder and Owner of Huh Healing Hub LLC. She earned her Usui Reiki Master Certification from Lily Rubinstein at The Center of Inner Wisdom. She is deeply devoted to helping others heal themselves through Reiki, meditation and writing.

Heather is also an award-winning full-time Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies at CUNY Baruch College. She draws upon her 16-year professional journey across journalism, content marketing, nonprofit communication and higher education. As a proud Asian American woman educator who brings her whole self iinto the classroom, she is committed to creating a safe and supportive space for all of her students as they sharpen their writing and oral communication skills.

She earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Master of Public Administration from CUNY Baruch College. She is the 2022 recipient of Baruch’s Presidential Excellence Award in Distinguished Teaching (as an Adjunct). She most recently delivered a TEDxCUNY 2025 Talk, “Breaking the Cycle of Grief through Communication,” based on her four decades of moving through grief as a transracial adoptee, motherless daughter and mom.

Heather lives in Sunnyside (Queens) with her husband and son. She loves to explore different countries, embrace the healing energy of mountains while hiking, and connect to her inner child through coloring books.
